Re:Thin Blue Line Products

Hey I'm looking for the tag for the front of my car - do you know who is carrying that - thin blue line! It's pretty cool, but I'm sure it will only take a short amount of time with the internet before I'll have to pull the stuff off my car - cause all the bad guys will be able to pin point us - or maybe you are the bad guys and you thought of this idea hmmmmmm . I guess you just can't trust anyone being a cop ya know!

Re:Thin Blue Line Products

I had the thin blue line sticker and plate on my vehicle but took them off due to the large amount of people in this area that seem to think if you have one on your car you will not get stopped. Too many people have them now.

Thin Blue Line Sticker Decal

the thin blue line sticker has nothing to do with the movie, the black backgroung represents all the officers whom have gave the ultimate, their lives, in the line of duty. The Blue represents those who still serve and put their lives in danger every day. This is the true meaning of the logo. To be displayed with pride of profession

Re: Thin Blue Line Products

Just FYI, the thin blue line sticker originally meant that there was a firearm in the vehicle as a courtesy to Law Enforcement Officers.Â* However, over time it has become more of a symbol of law encorcement or family of law enforcement.Â* When officers first starting placing these stickers on their vehicles, it was meant to identify themselves as law enforcement so that other officers would not stop them.Â* Now that everyone outside of law enforcement has these stickers, they are meaningless.Â* If I stop someone with one of these stickers, and they are not leo or direct family of leo, they are almost certain to get written for whatever I can write them for.Â* I do know of officers stopping non leo with the thin blue line stickers and politely telling the suspects that if the sticker is gone by the time they get back to the unit to get the ticket book, then they will probably leave with only a verbal warning if there is no warrants out for them.

I know someone will read this and bring up the age old debate of why should leo be able to get out of tickets.Â* Just to clarify my position, everyone that I stop has the same chance of getting a ticket or not.Â* Usually the suspects attitude comes into play on whether I ticket them or not.Â* On minor traffic infractions, they stand a real good chance of only getting a verbal warning if they don't start the "You are only stopping me because....(fill in your choice here)" or "Don't you have anything better to do than...."

If you are either drunk, at fault in an accident or just about ran over a child or a little old lady or myself, then the warning goes out the window no matter who you are.

Re: Thin Blue Line Products

your fyi is incorrect, we did NOT place this logo on our cars not to be stopped, but to identify us as law enforcement officers. And that more than likely we were "good guys" and probaly armed. FYI www.thinblueline.8m.com
